Self-control, a little bit

I know a couple of people who have vowed not to eat treats for several weeks, including all of October and Halloween, and though it sounds challenging, daunting even, I admire their self-control. Consider this a shout out for your unwavering example. Way to go!
So in that vein, I gave up treats yesterday, for one day. I know it's impressive. Especially since my kids collected 17 pounds of candy for Halloween.
And there is an ice cream cake in my freezer. Ooooh, I love ice cream.
Congratulations, to me. One whole day without treats. I'm working my way up to a week. Sometime in August.

Why no posts about your birthday? I'm waiting... I am guessing the ice cream cake was for you?

I love your family photo! They came out really good! Good location too! I love pictures that tell a story of where you are in life instead of a blank wall.

You can do it Kim! You could do 1 week right now. Just have some good sugar free gum on hand and chew it with reckless abandon. Anytime you want a piece of candy, pop in a piece of gum. It starts to work after about a week.

p.s. or was that wreckless abandon? I just don't know how to spell that saying, but it's a good saying, don't you think...

You're awesome! I bet you could do a week now though. You're tough, Kim!
