Without Wisdom

Teeth that is...I finally had my wisdom teeth taken out. It was the first of my splurges on AP expenses. My dentist has been harrassing me about getting them out since we moved here. "You should have had it done when the only thing you had to worry about was the Junior Prom...blah, blah, blah..."

Dave had the week off so I thought I'd schedule it with him around. All four came out with some "aggressive" effort apparently but it hasn't been too bad. The big disappointments include not being able to gorge on ice cream as planned (it's too cold) and not getting any really good drugs (darvocet, whah whah whah).

I'm rather swollen up, as you may be able to tell from the photos, but some people said they couldn't see a difference. I've gotta lose some weight if this looks normal!

I'll definitely make sure my kids get them out before they leave home!

Your whole jaw looked so painful today - and that was two days after the fact!! I felt bad every time you were talking or smiling at anyone. I REALLY hope you get better meds and some easy recovery days this week.

So sorry to hear you had to go through that! It is awful pain. Hopefully you will heal quickly and can have ice cream soon.

I was curious what had happened but didn't dare to ask. But I feel your pain! I got mine out a week before I got married (my dad's insurance covered it) and that same day I had a bridal shower. Now those are some fun photos. Luckily, I didn't bruise and all was well for the wedding.
Oh, did they knock you out at least?? I woke up thinking, 7,6,5... I didn't get very far in my counting backwards from 10.

I had mine out at age 15. It was one of the most painful experiences ever. I think they really had to dig them out since they weren't close to the surface yet. I think you look very swollen. Those who say you don't must be smoking something.

Oh man, that looks painful. I hope you are feeling better. I had mine out the summer before I left for college. I can still remember how awful it was! I hope Dave was good to you.
